The fourth instalment of the Norse superhero, Thor: Love & Thunder, is Marvel’s newest addition to its cinematic universe. The new film adds returning favorites such as Korg, Miek, Sif, and even Jane Foster, who has a significant role in it. Marvel Contest of Champions is also promoting the release of the film with special in-game events. In the newest trailer, players can observe chaos erupt in Battlerealm as Thor, Mighty Thor, and Valkyrie face off against Gorr, Mangog, and Hela – three gods killers.
While a lot happens in Marvel Contest of Champions, there is an actual-world occurrence that should not be missed by fans in the United States and Canada. Marvel CoC has teamed up with Hasbro to offer a random winner the chance to win the Marvel Legends Series Mighty Thor Mjolnir Electronic Hammer, which is only available through this promotion. If you’re a Thor fan, there’s no way you’ll want to miss out on owning the replica of his beloved weapon. The competition starts on July 22nd and will run until July 27th; players can learn more about it via ingame mail.
From August 2nd through August 9th, gamers have a chance to acquire Thor (Ragnarok) or Thor (Jane Foster) for free in-game. Other Marvel Cinematic Universe-inspired skins from the four Thor films will be available as well, such on Korg, Odin, Hela, Loki, and members of the Guardians of the Galaxy like Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket, Groot, and more.
Furthermore, a couple of weeks ago, the Valkyrie and Gorr skins were revealed, as well as the god butchers’ arrival on July 14th, with the queen of Asgard joining the team on July 28th. Make sure to watch their Champion Reveal trailers!
